Matthew Walker

Matthew “Matt” Doty Walker, 38, died at his home in Sand Springs, Oklahoma on July 13, 2024. He was

born in Tulsa to Homer and Linda Doty Walker on March 25, 1986. Graduating from Booker T.

Washington High School in 2004, he went on to earn his bachelors degree in history from Northeastern

Oklahoma State University in May 2012.

Matt married Lauren Loftis in 2014. They welcomed their son Judah in 2015 and later a daughter, Shiloh,

in 2020. He worked as an assistant manager in various Tulsa area Quik Trip stores until his death.

Throughout his life, Matt loved helping people and animals. From an early age, stray animals sought him

out and soon they were no longer strays. With Matt, there was always room for a few more.

Matt is survived by his wife Lauren and children Judah and Shiloh of the home, his parents, his sister

Megan Walker-Radtke, brother-in-law James Radtke, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and co-

workers.

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, July 19 at 10 am at All Souls Unitarian Church, 2952 S. Peoria

Ave. in Tulsa. In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested that donations may be made in his memory to

the Tulsa-area SPCA in care of Roberts and Son Funeral Home, Blackwell, OK
