Blackwell Youth Center hosting Back to School dance on August 16 and 17

The Blackwell Youth Center is sending kids back to school with a bang, and with a supply drive, according to director Denise Hindman who runs the youth facility on Ikerd just behind Memorial Park.

This Friday, August 9, the Blackwell Youth Center will be hosting a Back to School Open House from 3 - 6 p.m. to coincide with the City of Blackwell-sponsored Back to School Bash in the Memorial Park (see the “Back to School Bash” story in this week’s issue).

The Youth Center Open House will be offering face painting to everyone that bings in a school supply.

Then, on August 16 and 17, the Youth Center will be hosting a Back to School Dance for Elementary students on the 16th from 7 pm - 9 pm and on the 17th for Junior High students from 7 pm - 9 pm with the cost being $5 for both.
