Baseball and Baked Potatoes: Blackwell Tourism Hosting July 1 Fundraiser for Flycatchers

June 26, 2025

Blackwell Tourism is stepping up to the plate to support the hometown team with a special evening of food and fundraising at Morgan Field on Monday, July 1.
From 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., the community is invited to enjoy a Baseball Fundraiser benefiting the Blackwell Flycatchers, the city's summer collegiate league baseball team. All proceeds from the evening’s food truck sales will go directly to supporting the players and the team’s needs throughout the season.
The menu for the night is packed with ballpark-inspired comfort food favorites. Featured items include two loaded baked potato options — the All American, with butter, ham, cheese, onions, and sour cream, and the Chicken Bacon Ranch, with smoked chicken, bacon, cheese, and ranch dressing — each available for $10.
For a lighter bite, walking tacos will be served for $5, with drinks including pop ($2), water ($1), and Hugs juice barrels (50¢) to keep everyone cool and refreshed.
As a bonus, free Flycatchers game tickets will be given to anyone who spends $20 or more, while supplies last.
The event will take place at Morgan Field, located at 800 S. Main Street, where fans and families alike can enjoy a relaxed evening, meet the players, and give back to the team representing Blackwell all summer long.
So whether you’re craving a hearty baked potato or just want to show your support for local baseball, make plans to swing by Morgan Field on July 1 and help keep the Flycatchers flying high.
